THE RESULT OF A POOR FITTING DENTURE
Note the folds of tissuue at the front section of the mouth.  These conditions were probablycaused by a denture that  rubbed at one time, but the patient persisted and failed to see a dental professional for adjustment (or relining) -
* The changed condition is called hyperplastic tissue.
* The patient may require surgery to remove the tissue caused from ill fitting dentures.
* On going denture maintenance is required for safe oral health.
* A denture examination every year is a safe standard.
* It is suggested full dentures be relined in two years.
